MISS TEEN DERBY DAY
Saturday, May 1, 2010

(Stage – Courthouse in Williamstown)

Pageant Interviews/Rehearsal Start:  8:00am

Pageant/Stage events for audience begin at 10:30am

Any entries received or postmarked after April 20, 2010, will not be accepted.  No exceptions

 

Contestants are required to pay a $20.00 entry fee, which must accompany the entry form.  No refunds*

 

*Entry fees received after the entry deadline has passed will be returned to the sender.

 

RULES

 

Eligibility:

Contestants must meet each of the following criteria…

-          have reached her 13th birthday and shall not have reached her 16nd birthday by May 1, 2010.

-          Be single, never married, never had a baby or be presently with child.

-          Be a resident of the state of Kentucky for (1) year.

-          Return a completed entry form, along with the $20.00 entry fee by the April 20th, 2010 deadline.

 

 

Attire:

There will be NO SWIMSUIT category.

No long dresses or gowns will be permitted.

Contestants will appear in the following attire in each of the designated segments…

           Judges’ interview and Stage introductions – Derby Day T-Shirt (will be provided) and shorts

            Stage Q&A – Casual/Party dress.  No Skirts

 

 

Any decisions on rules will be decided by the Miss Teen Derby Day committee members.

 

The winner will be proclaimed “Miss Teen Derby Day 2010” and reign as queen throughout the remainder of the festival.  She will be invited back the following year to crown her successor.

 

Queen:  A $300 prize will be awarded and the winner will advance to the Miss Kentucky Festival Pageant in November 2010.  The $300 prize will be awarded to the queen at the completion
of all Derby Day activities, which may be late in the evening of May 1, 2010.  No exceptions

 

1st, 2nd and 3rd runner up, along with “People’s Choice”, will also be recognized.

 

Queen and her court (1st, 2nd and 3rd runner up and People’s Choice) are required to ride on the pageant float in the parade through downtown
Williamstown at 2pm, on May 1, 2010.  No Exceptions
